It’s First Friday Art Walk Time Again!

With apologies to those who do not live in the Seattle area, it’s time again to announce the start of the Issaquah First Friday Art Walk season! For those living elsewhere, I promise next week’s article will be less “News” and a lot more “Adventure”!

A free event organized by the Downtown Issaquah Association, the Art Walk takes place from 6-9 PM on the first Friday of each month from June until September. At the Issaquah Art Walk, you can expect to see a variety of artistic styles on display both outdoors as well as inside the doors of participating merchants. And, there’s live music!

Artists from all over the Seattle area participate in this popular event. Last year, an estimated 10,000 people came into downtown Issaquah to see and purchase art, hear live music, and support our historic downtown.

This Friday, the June 6 Art Walk features music by Something in the Trees, Kaliedoscope School of Music/Dorian Blu, and Accoustic Couti. And, it’s Friday, so after the art, stay for dinner and/or drinks at one of the many restaurants in downtown Issaquah.

OK, I know what you’re wondering: where’s Ed going to be? Well, I’ll have a booth near the historic downtown Shell station, which is essentially Ground Zero for downtown Issaquah events. I’ll have a new selection of Icelandic and local horse images printed large on canvas.

So where exactly is this Issaquah Art Walk? It runs along Front Street in historic downtown Issaquah from just north of NW Dogwood Street south to almost SE Bush Street. But just head to downtown Issaquah on Friday between 6-9 PM. You can’t miss it! And just in case, here’s a map:

See you there!
