Now you can put any of my images, including the ones with flower petals, right on to the surface of a sheet of metal with my new Metal Prints!
Not to be confused with the metallic looking paper from Kodak that I’ve been offering for years, this product actually infuses the image right into the surface of a solid sheet of metal.
Now I know what you’re thinking. Great, Ed, another fad. Well, while I can’t predict future trends in art presentation (unfortunately), I can tell you that these metal prints are brilliant in every sense of the word. You will not believe how the colors pop off the surface of these prints in a way that you need to see firsthand to truly appreciate. The result of this process is a rich iridescent sheen, bright vivid colors, and a high-definition depth of detail that can’t be matched by conventional paper prints.
Now if you don’t like shiny things, you can stop reading right now and just go buy one of my soft, painterly looking canvas prints, because I’m not going to lie to you, these things are shiny! They have a high gloss finish that makes people ooh and aah, but at the same time, if you hang one across from a bright window, you are going to be looking at a reflection of the window, not the print. So think carefully about placement before hanging one of these.
But, it you do have a spot where reflections won’t be a problem, and you know you do, you owe it to yourself to check out this new presentation style. The prints are so bright and shiny you’ll almost think there must be a light source behind them. It’s almost like looking at an image on a high definition television or one of the newer smart phone or tablet screens.
Of the several finishes available via this process, I’ve chosen the one that I feel is most suited to my landscape images. It features a highly reflective glass-like finish with rich saturated colors and superior contrast. This finish gives images incredible depth of detail. The mirror like surface and high contrast makes the image look like it was printed onto the back of a sheet of glass.
As always, the prints come ready to hang. Attached to the back of this thin but sturdy sheet of metal is a floating mount that suspends the artwork ½” away from the surface of the wall.
If you live in the Seattle area, you’ll be able to see these beauties at one of my upcoming art fairs this summer – more on those soon. Or I’d be happy to meet you somewhere in the Issaquah area to show you a few samples.
Otherwise, remember that all of my products come with a full one year money back or exchange guarantee, so if you want to try something in your home to see how it looks, you can always return it if it’s not absolutely perfect for your space.
Every one of my images is available in Metallic Paper, Canvas Gallery Wrap, and now as a Metal Print. Simply go to my Image Gallery to browse the images by subject. Below each image thumbnail is a Shopping Cart button that will take you to the product page for that image, where all three styles of print can be selected in various sizes.
Well, I have lots to do to get ready for the upcoming art fairs, so until next week, stay safe!
Good news!! I think that adds a really great print option for those of us in the northwest! Anything that brings more light into our environment is a good thing- not to mention the depth of colors that your beautiful photography brings to a room! Thanks Ed!! 😉
Thanks, Nancy! You are too kind!
