Two Artists’ Receptions This Weekend!

This is a busy weekend for me! I’m participating in photography shows at opposite ends of the country, one in North Bend, Washington, and the other in Essex Junction, Vermont, and both galleries are hosting artists’ receptions for me and the other participants!

The first reception is Friday evening, October 2nd, at the Darkroom Gallery in the Burlington, Vermont area. My Lunar Eclipse and Aurora Borealis image won Honorable Mention in their Nocturne photo contest, and will be displayed in the gallery from September 17, 2015, through October 11, 2015. At the reception I’ll get to meet the other winning photographers and the juror who judged this month’s contest.

A lunar eclipse takes place above Prelude Lake while the Aurora Borealis puts on a show, in Prelude Lake Territorial Park, Northwest Territories, Canada.

The next day, Saturday, October 3rd, the North Bend Visitor Info Center and Mountain View Art Gallery will host a reception for local artists participating in their Group Photography Show. Three of my images, which I call collectively Mount Rainier After Dark, will be displayed during the show, which runs from October 1 through November 30, 2015.

Unfortunately, I will not be in attendance at this reception, as I will still be in Vermont on a fall foliage photo shoot. But you can go!
