Family Fun at the Issaquah Farmers Market

This year I’ll be participating in more markets, fairs, and shows than ever before, and the first of these is the Issaquah Farmers Market.

Held in the Pickering Barn parking lot next to the Issaquah Costco (and Costco world headquarters), the Issaquah Farmers Market runs from April to October every Saturday from 9 a.m.-2 p.m., rain or shine.

So why am I involved in a farmers’ market? No, I haven’t started a garden out back (except for the Bibb Lettuce). Besides being a source for the freshest produce you can find, the Issaquah Farmers Market also features food vendors, cooking demonstrations, fresh cut flowers, family activities, fresh baked goods, live music and entertainment, and handmade arts and crafts. And that’s where I come in. I’ll be out there under my 10×10 canopy with a miniature art gallery, showing my latest work from Iceland and far north Canada, including images of Icelandic Horses and the Aurora Borealis. I’ll have both framed and unframed images printed on the metallic paper that I feature, as well as a good supply of my more popular images printed on stretched canvas.

I can’t do every Saturday. After all, sometimes I have to get out there and get more fresh images! But I will be there this Saturday, May 31st, as well as other Saturdays throughout the summer. Ping me by email if you’re thinking of visiting and I’ll let you know my plans.

So if you live in the Seattle area and are looking for something fun to do with the whole family, take a quick drive out I-90 and come to the Issaquah Farmers Market beneath the beautiful Issaquah Alps. You’ll also find some amazing food trucks and booths, so stay for lunch!
