It’s officially summer now, and that means art fair season! Communities all over are gearing up for their outdoor art festivals, and the first one I’ll be joining is the Shoreline Arts Festival in the Shoreline and Lake Forest Park neighborhoods of Seattle.
The 24th Annual Shoreline Arts Festival is presented by The Shoreline – Lake Forest Park Arts Council, a community-based arts organization whose mission is to nurture and support the arts in Shoreline and Lake Forest Park.
This popular free event will be held this Saturday and Sunday, June 28 & 29, at the Shoreline Center. See the embedded map below for directions.
There’s something for everyone at the Shoreline Arts Festival! Come out and see art exhibits from regional artists, including Youth Art by students of all ages. More than 50 artists, including yours truly, will have booths set up with a variety of unique creations for your home. In fact, I’ll have more work on display than ever before, so even if you think you’ve seen all of my work, I’ll have some new surprises for you!
The festival also features live music and performances, including a childrens’ production of Pinocchio on Saturday.
Of course there will be a food court, and if you get there before noon on either day, a Festival Breakfast will be available at the Senior Center.
Even if you don’t live in the Seattle area, there are probably local art fairs nearby, so be sure to get out and support your local artists wherever you live. It’s a great way to get out and enjoy summer!
